The WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 is limited to just 20 artists worldwide. Places are awarded through a competitive international audition process and are designed to maintain a highly personalised learning environment, allowing Fellows to benefit from close mentorship, meaningful artistic collaboration and individual professional development opportunities throughout the programme.

Yes, you can still apply for WPG. Applications are open to percussionists from around the world. However, we strongly recommend researching your visa requirements and securing all necessary documentation well in advance of the tour. Visa arrangements are the responsibility of each artist.

Yes. Scholarship recipients remain responsible for arranging and funding their own travel to and from the Fellowship start and end points, including travel to the United Kingdom for the opening residency.

Applications for the WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 are now open. Once registered through the official WPG website, applicants will gain immediate access to the audition pack, application portal and supporting audition resources.

The WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 includes a 27-night international residency from 11th May to 7th June 2027, visiting 10 countries and several of Northern Europe's leading music institutions. As performances, residencies and recording projects take place throughout the tour, all Fellows must be available for the full duration of the residency.

Yes. We are committed to making the audition process valuable for every applicant. All applicants receive detailed personalised feedback from the WPG Artistic Director, access to exclusive educational resources and audition materials. Many applicants use this feedback to strengthen future conservatoire, competition and professional applications, making the audition process a valuable professional development opportunity in its own right.

Yes. Applicants are encouraged to present material that best demonstrates their artistic strengths. This may include solo repertoire, chamber music, ensemble performance, improvisation, composition or educational work. The selection panel evaluates applicants holistically, considering musicality, artistry, professionalism and potential contribution to the Fellowship programme.

Yes. WPG offers a limited number of merit-based and financial-need scholarships through the WPG Scholarship Network. Scholarship awards are determined following the audition process and may range from partial fee assistance to substantial Fellowship support for exceptional candidates.

Opportunities to deliver clinics, workshops and presentations may arise throughout the Fellowship Tour. These sessions are typically aimed at university-level students and provide an excellent opportunity to develop teaching and presentation skills. Participation is optional, and Fellows are free to decline if they prefer to focus solely on performance and residency activities.

The WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 fee is £6,995 GBP. The Fellowship combines a year-long programme of mentorship and professional development with a 27-night international residency across 10 countries. The fee includes weekly online mentorship sessions, conservatoire residencies and performances, newly commissioned works, a professional recording project at the Royal College of Music Stockholm, a professionally designed bespoke artist website, accommodation throughout the residency, cruise accommodation, food, group ground transportation, rehearsal facilities, coaching, legal immigration representation and administrative support. Participants are responsible for arranging and funding their own travel to and from the Fellowship start and end points. A limited number of scholarships and financial assistance awards are available through the WPG Scholarship Network.

The WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 fee is £6,995 GBP. Flexible monthly instalment plans are available between September 2026 and May 2027, allowing Fellows to spread the cost across the Fellowship year. An initial deposit is required to secure a place following acceptance. A limited number of merit-based and financial-need scholarships are also available through the WPG Scholarship Network.

Fellows who successfully complete the programme will be awarded the FWPG (Fellow of the World Percussion Group) designation, recognising their participation in the Fellowship Tour and year-long professional development programme.

The WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 combines international performance opportunities with a year-long programme of mentorship and professional development. In addition to the 27-night residency, Fellows participate in regular online sessions, newly commissioned works, a professional recording project, career development activities and collaborative conservatoire residencies designed to support long-term artistic growth.

No. Applications are open to percussionists from all educational and professional backgrounds. While many Fellows are current conservatoire students or recent graduates, applications are equally welcomed from freelance performers, educators and emerging professionals who demonstrate exceptional potential.

The WPG Fellowship Tour 2027 will travel through 10 countries across Northern Europe, including the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Estonia and Finland. Yes. The Fellowship is designed to celebrate both individual artistry and collaborative performance. While ensemble projects form the core of the programme, Fellows may be invited to present solo repertoire, chamber music, workshops or research projects during conservatoire residencies. WPG will endeavour to provide opportunities for participants to showcase their individual artistic voice whenever programme schedules allow.

Beginning in October 2026, Fellows will participate in a structured programme of online mentorship and professional development. Sessions may include performance preparation, career development, entrepreneurship, portfolio building, networking, teaching skills, fundraising techniques, audition preparation and discussions with leading artists and educators from across the percussion profession.

The Fellowship is designed for advanced percussionists who demonstrate strong musical potential, professionalism and a commitment to artistic growth. While many Fellows are conservatoire students, graduates or emerging professionals, selection is based on the overall strength of the application rather than academic qualifications alone.

Yes. Fellows will participate in professional recording and media projects throughout the programme, including a professional recording project at the Royal College of Music Stockholm. Selected performances and activities may also be professionally documented to support Fellows' portfolios and promotional materials.
